Santo

Santo Signature Cuvee comes from our winery in Veneto, within the small village of Valdobbiadene, the traditional home of Prosecco. Its name comes from Latin “Domus Picta” (Painted Home) as it is an ancient and beautiful villa with breathtaking and original frescos. The winery first started producing sparkling wine in 1861. The history of sparkling wine in the Veneto is rich and connected with food and culture throughout Northern Italy.

Santo Signature Cuvee

Signature Cuvee

Santo Signature Cuvee is comprised of 100% Glera grapes that come from Veneto. The most enhanced aromas are of flowers and green apples, with lingering notes of peach and soft hints of wildflowers. On the palate, the wine is elegant, fresh, light and well-balanced.

Winemaking

The Santo Signature Cuvée sparkling wine is obtained from a second fermentation, which is carried out in large steel tanks called “autoclaves,” using the “Charmat method.” The fermentation takes place slowly at a controlled temperature, obtaining a pale straw-yellow sparkling wine with hints of green and a fine, delicate perlage. The most enhanced aromas are of flowers and green apples, with lingering notes of mature fruits like peach and soft hints of wildflowers. On the palate, the wine is elegant, fresh, light and well-balanced.
